All‐Solid‐State Battery Fabricated by 3D Aerosol Jet Printing

چکیده

All‐solid‐state battery (ASSB) technology has emerged as a promising solution for developing safe and high‐energy‐density power sources. However, the pronounced interfacial charge transfer resistance between electrode solid electrolyte continues to be central obstacle in contemporary ASSBs. This work demonstrated first approach printing all‐solid‐state batteries by employing aerosol jet technology. A composite cathode, composed of active materials, binder polymer, conductive filler, was printed onto current collector. Subsequently, solventless superionic conducting polymer on cathode form seamless interface electrolyte, resulting 3D‐printed lithium‐ion battery. The material (lithium iron phosphate, LFP) achieved loading approximately 10 mg/cm 2 , while layer maintained thickness mere 24 microns. Under ambient conditions (30°C), half‐cell ASSB exhibited specific capacity over 130 mAh/g at 0.05 C. Advanced cells with porous membrane, which allows safely cycled higher temperature (60°C), fast charging/discharging rates. These were capable cycling 0.3 C rate, delivering surpassing 160 mAh/g. article is protected copyright. All rights reserved.

An artificial blood vessel fabricated by 3D printing for pharmaceutical application

Objective(s): Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of mortality in the elderly. A common medical procedure for the treatment of CVDs is the replacement of the blocked or narrowed arteries, which is currently the optimal vascular transplant associated with autograft transplantation. In general, the saphenous veins and radial arteries in the mammary gland are considered to be the ...

Jet-based 3d Printing of Biological Constructs

Organ printing is the layer-by-layer bottom-up fabrication of complex cellular organization of native tissues or organs by bioprinting multiple cell types and other biomaterials at designated positions. The rising success rate of transplants has resulted in a critical need for more tissues and organs. Approximately 95,000 people are on the waiting list for new organs in the U.S. alone, and some...

Aerosol Jet Printing of Miniaturized, Low Power Flexible Micro-Hotplates

We report on printed flexible micro-hotplates operating at high temperature at lower power consμmption than ever reported using aerosol jet printing of fine metallic conductor features. Efficient heating (i.e., 40 mW at 325 °C) was produced by reducing the effective heating area and substrates thickness. Gold (Au) nanoparticles solution was used for printing micro-hotplates of two different siz...

Organ printing: computer-aided jet-based 3D tissue engineering.

Tissue engineering technology promises to solve the organ transplantation crisis. However, assembly of vascularized 3D soft organs remains a big challenge. Organ printing, which we define as computer-aided, jet-based 3D tissue-engineering of living human organs, offers a possible solution. Organ printing involves three sequential steps: pre-processing or development of "blueprints" for organs; ...

Permanence and Color Stability in 3D Ink-jet Printing

In recent years, the possibility of color three-dimensional printing has been introduced. The process described in this work is by ZCorporation, and is currently the only process enabling full color printing. The basic materials are in the shape of powder and binders, clear and/or colored. In order to obtain final mechanical and surface properties, 3D prints are almost always postprocessed with...
